I got some Uniqlo broadcloth shirts in a small and they're pretty boxy and a little long.

Do they change their cuts every year, or are the broadcloth shirts cut differently?

I ave a chambray shirt from them from a few years back in a small and it fits perfectly.

Should I was them on warm and dry them to shrink them a little? I don't really feel like having shirts I paid $19 for tailored.

Different shirts have different sizing. The OCBDs are bigger than their other shirts. The XS fits me perfectly except for the neck which is a bit tight but then the S is huge as fuck. The OCBDs definitely shrink a lot which is what I did with my S sized one.

Derbies exist for that specific reason; to wear nice leather shoes with casual crap. And to me they just always look better.

Also if you've never had oxfords before, because of the way they're put together they have to fit very well to be comfortable - you can't really tighten them at all. With derbies you have some room for error.

I don't even own a nice pair of oxfords and when I'll finally be getting one I think the way to go is to get it custom-made.

I'm a bit aprehensive about shopping online and getting a good fit.

What are some general rule of thumbs for it?
I'm 6 feet with broad-ish shoulders but not-as-broad waist (not a V-taper since i have a bit of side fat, but it's going down anyways) so my shoulders fit a size M, but a lot of Mediums look boxy despite usually fitting my shoulders well.

Should I shop for a size S? I feel like that might be too small/short.
