I don't know about the racist part because I've met a lot of black girls who loved pale pale skin. But the rest is spot on. If you look at pale people you can see a difference in their color when they really are sick. They look more pink/orange/yellow normally and more blue/gray when they are under the weather. Same for people with dark skin actually. And when people with dark skin have been dead for a while their skin turns gray/ashy.

I agree, but the reason why they look shit is not because it is caked on, it's because it has not been (yet?) retouched/refreshened. By the way I wont say I have done make-up on super famous celebrities, but they were working in the showbusiness or were models etc... and I noticed the skin of the darker ones, especially the sunkissed ones were the best while the pasty ones had very obvious skin flaws/pores. But hey to each their own. I can say that in a when doing dark theme photoshoot pale skin is in fact "cleaner" because it's neutral.

Pale is best. It either gels perfect with light hair and small features, or it has a nice contrast with darker hair.

Tan looks very good on some girls, but for tan girls better features are what's necessary to make them look better than normal.

It depends. I don't like pale when it's that dull color and they have no blush whatsoever in their face. Not to mention on some people it does look sickly.
