Looking for a card holder I stumbled upon Berg&Berg.

They have "Vachetta Leather" and "Nubuck" ones. What's the difference?

Also, is the €78 price justifiable? It's the only card holders I could find with dimensions big enough for me (10,3 cm X 7,4 cm)

are you asking about the difference between leather and nubuck?

>> No.8035328

>>8035315

About vachetta leather and nubuck, yes.

As in durability, easiness of getting dirty, hardness, aesthetics, etc.

By the pictures, nubuck seems more aesthetically pleasing, but I'm not really sure.

Also, treat this thread as a wallet general.
Discuss anything you wish.
And post some nice card holders, I'm unsure if I will cop Berg&Berg for €78 + shipping.

$60 isn't that much less.

And it's 9.8 cm X 6.9 cm

Berg&Berg is the only card holder I could find that's big enough for a document of mine.

i think im going to pick up one of these soon for my new lifetime commitment wallet

ive always really loved bottega veneta's intrecciato

i went to their chicago boutique yesterday to check them out in person and oh god the leather is so supple, some of the best ive ever seen

definitely comparable to hermes

Go for Berg&Berg, OP - they're great.

The only other option that doesn't suck ass in this thread is the cardholder from Tom Ford.

How's Berg&Berg wallet?

If not too big or bulky, I might cop that instead of the card case.

Also, what are your experiences with the materials? I'm not really familiar with either vachetta or nubuck.

All in all, the price is still a bit high for me. I might cop as a last resort of some sorts. The quality might be superb, but spending that much still puts me a little out...

I love it to bits.

I've had it since last summer and it's gotten a bit dirty, but that doesn't really bother me. It's very slim but I only keep 4 cards and some bills in there. When it comes to size, just check out the dimensions, draw them on a paper and decide for yourself if it's too big or small - others can't judge that for you.

I've bought several items from Berg&Berg and I think the quality is fantastic considering their low prices. If you think the wallets are expensive now, you could wait until the end of summer when they go on sale for 50%.

Good idea, I will do that!

That's great to hear, I might indeed wait, if I can keep myself from buying it.
By the end of Summer, do you mean around September 22nd? If so, I think I can't get myself to wait that long.

>By the end of Summer, do you mean around September 22nd?

Mid to late August.

Just know that not all their stuff gets put on sale, but a good chunk does. Personally I would recommend just buying it now, since I like to support small actors who do a good job.

I have no experience with either Vachetta or Nubuck. Which one would you recommend? I'm looking for the one that doesn't get dirty too easy, probably vachetta by what I've seen?

I wear skinny trousers so carrying a wallet around is annoying as fuck. Come to think of it, even with looser trousers it's still annoying.

I just carry everything loose, but I usually just go around with a backpack, it's just so convenient.
