Are they really anything special? I'm looking at fits and they're just not very interesting to me.

they're still interesting shoes from a design standpoint. Rick took the hightop and exaggerated everything: big chunky sole, elongated tounge, etc. the best way to wear them is with clothes that further exaggerate proportions
that being said, at the end of the day they're expensive sneakers and you can do what you want with them

The differences are huge, the leather is very shiny, and plasticy on the fake. Its extremely small compared to the same one same size. Its probably 70% smaller than the real one. Its comfortable to wear though :') but i wouldn't wear them in public.

The Scuba "sock" styles are very fitted and might slip under a pant leg, though the Memphis Jeans are VERY slim and that might not be possible. The Fetish Waders are cut more for tucking slim pant legs into them (like the fold over boots from Anthem). The truth is OP, don't buy goebaskets. They aren't terrible but they are really played out.

Buy Ramones/Rick Shelltoes.

They are the best Rick sneaker, by far. Way more versatile than geos, don't have as much dumb internet stigma attached to them. Get the suede or leather version. You can find them for as low as $400 sometimes.

Also half of the reason people like Rick sneaks is the quality. The quality on them is amazing. (there used to be durability issues with staple construction but that hasn't been an issue for ages.)

SS14 (Vicious) models should still be around most places who stock them, Rick's site still has some for that matter.
They're not exactly a seasonal shoe, the design won't really change that much just because it's a summer version - apart from perhaps the material and the details unique to that season.
