Prom is coming up soon, copped a nice navy blue suit. Looking for shirt, tie and pocket square combinations. I'm thinking of something like pic related, but instead with a white shirt and puffy ivory pocket square. what say you?

double breasted tux, properly worn
look at uk royal family in tuxedos

whatever you buy, make sure it fits

better off getting a cheap suit and getting it tailored than spending a lot of your parents cash on a brand name that your friends like

got the suit bro. fit's well, getting the sleeves shortened and pants hemmed.

anyone got ideas for shirt/tie/ps combos that will look sick with a navy suit?

sounds pretty good

double cuff light blue shirt with a nice brown silk tie, with brown belt and brown shoes is a possible combo, but of course try it first

What is a good brand for a blazer under $200?

Brown belt and shoes should match, i would not go with a brown tie but pick a burgundy one.

Do not wear a shirt other than light blue or white.

Pocket square should pick up the colour of your shirt, i would suggest a silk pocket square with a white and blue pattern.

You are a retard any color shirt except black looks nice with a navy suit. But for prom you underage faggot wear a white shirt and match your dates dress for your tie. You do have a date right?

Navy suit.
White dress shirt.
Woven wine red tie.

Don't get pocket square because they look good only in super casual fits.
Are proms even formal events with like tuxedo dresscode or you can wear whatever you like?

If you're loaded with cash just get Tom Ford stuff.

get a white shirt, without any branding visible
the pocket square you suggested is fine IMO
as for the tie, I would suggest a light blue one, red seems too foregone to me, however pocket square should be of different colors
I also suggest you to wear black belt and shoes, IMO black is better than brown if you want to wear a tie, brown is more casual

as far as I know the things I suggested you are just the basics of "suiting", but if you're here asking for advice I think you should start following the rules of menswear, and then trying to achieve a more effay/personal look(no offense), if you don't know the rules you can't bend/break them IMO
