Posting here cause it seems most logical place to post. I am getting my haircut tomorrow, what do I ask for? I am thinking a 1 on sides faded in (not sure if that is a universal term). But don't know what to do on top. Look at the picture from the front I don't know how what to do it jsut looks stupid to me. And from the side the hair on top just kind of sits on top and is "poofy" (not sure how to say). So yeah:

What should I ask for in the barbour?
What should I do with my hair on top as I think it looks stupid.

If you shorten the top it will stay in that awkward bushy stage. I would say let the top stay, and tell him to fade a 1 on the bottom half of the sides, once the top gets longer you can do more with it.

Anyone know how to get rid of this flyaway bullshit I have? Taking a shower seems to dry my hair out and using shampoo fucks it up even worse (I've tried multiple different varieities). Conditioners don't seem to help either. Would it be better if I took cold showers to moisturise my hair instead of drying it out?
Next time I get a haircut, I'll obviously snip the bangs. I also intend to get my layers trimmed. Any suggestions?

Like, while it's still wet? Isn't that one of the things that messes up people's hair?
And does it require that my pillows be really clean?
Also, do you take cold or hot showers and do you dry your hair really thoroughly? Towel, blowdry?

Yeah, I sleep on it while it's still wet. I pat it dry with a towel, but it's still pretty wet. And then I run my fingers through it and shape it slightly. I don't blow dry it
I change/wash my pillowcase like once a week. Otherwise it starts to get a little greasy.
I take warm/hot showers and then rinse with cold water.
Maybe these are all objectively bad tips. I don't know, but they work for my hair. And I've been told that I have healthy hair, so it doesn't seem to be doing too much damage.

Wash your hair with something light like an organic shampoo. Shampooing with regular stuff will make it worse, but having greasy hair also makes it much worse.
