hi /fa/,

can you recommend non-shit tier European brands (looking for tees and sweaters) with no ostentatious logos (pic somewhat related)? I hate the overt displays of consumerism that most of these brands and logos radiate. understatement is king for me in this respect.

but the lacoste logo isn't typical consumerism, it's just a beautiful crocodile the inventors of the modern polo chose to add to their creation

understatement my ass

Oh... I see.
Well, I don't know tbh.

But I think when it comes to normal sweaters, quality factors like the fiber length of the garn are primary. You should check that out, for example with cashmere.
Then, there are just some styles that have made their way through the times.
So you might want to get an understanding of that.

But I wouldn't be too scared of labels, if it's a nice piece.

Also, bumping for knowledge.

I think there is a reason why suits don't have brand logos. because it's vulgar and distracts from the other properties of the garment. most of the "higher quality" European brands I know (Ralph Lauren, Lacoste, Hilfiger etc) have these overt logos on "casual" pieces. why?
