I'm leaning towards blue for the simple fact that it's easier to match anything with, but the coat I currently have right now (a light wool overcoat I layered on top of sweaters or hoodies for winter) is also navy blue.

They're both really cool.
Sand would be better suited to snowy weather whereas navy would be better when gloomy/stormy, IMO.
Follow your instinct and I doubt you'll regret it. Pretty fuckin versatile either way.
