got some new ones

I still haven't mastered the art of setting up my shoes equal distances apart

the geier glove co moccasins are indoor slippers

the orange grensons with the crepe sole were really cheap on Gilt. I'm not sure that they weren't a dumb purchase but at least I didn't spend much

both new pairs of yuketen were 50% off. you can't see in this photo but the piece of leather on the back of the camo hair ones is brown chromexcel

finally got five more pairs of shoe trees, I cycle them around every few days, and always put one in whatever pair I've just worn

I should add that I'd like the boots better if they had different laces (if they look as light as they do in the photo). other thing that looks off is the stitching -- I'm sure it started out tonal but it's starting to look almost like contrast stitching, I don't know if that's from dirt or what. maybe it's just the photo?

the 8112 is a great colorway, you should post pics after they get some serious wear

What color for example? Original laces was dark brown and they quickly torn. I replaced them with that light laces.

The boots are clean. Maybe it's a result of the flash using?

something tonal or darker, maybe alden indy laces (pic related), although those might be too long. darker, flat waxed laces. soft round laces look cheap to me, and I don't care for light laces on boots, they don't 'fit', I think.

but everyone has different opinions about laces. there's no rule about what's 'right'. so use your own judgment

>maybe it's a result of the flash
I was wondering whether you used flash, something looked off. that explains a lot. you should probably avoid using flash in the future, the shoes will look a lot better in natural lighting conditions
