In America if you wear hollister past like sophomore year in high school you have problems. It's middle school tier basically. Idk why but I saw a lot of people wearing hollister in Europe

I work at a Hollister, it's awful. The only people that shop there are hispanics, and they normally just raid clearance, every now and then a good looking girl will come in looking for jeans or shorts. The clothing it self I dont believe is THAT awful, its just the way they paste their brand and that stupid ass bird all over the place, the material is alright and everything fits pretty ok, its also not very expensive, but overall its pretty bad.

I work at Abercrombie & Fitch. A&F, abercrombie, and Hollister are run by the same guy and we switch managers and employees between the stores all the time. In the US we're pretty shit-tier, A&F is dying, we have a little over a thousands stores in the US, it'll be down to 800 by the end of 2015. But let me tell you, Europeans, Asians and mexicans fuckin love these places, 90% of our customers are either Mexican or Asian(mostly viet, tis is TX btw). These brands cost twice as muc in European countries and are seldom in East Asia. Eurpopeans come here and load up a suitcase of our clothing before heading back. it's because these brands try so hard to push the "All American" image and no one really gives a fuck in America. We're expanding overseas rapidly though.

Basically it's pretty shit past teenage years unless you're not American. The only thing I'd recommend at our stores is the outerwear. Ask away if you wanna

Did yall go through a pretty major restructuring as far as the way hours are given out, the way that our store operates is a lot different, instead of having multiple people on the floor in the different sections of the store we have maybe 2? Now there are normally 4 people working, one at register, 2 floating and a manager, (not counting impactors) is this the same at Abercrombie or just at Hollister?

I think my store is one of the smaller ones, not sure. Yeah, very recently. I came in about 2 weeks ago and was the only model for my entire shift. They're having major hour cutbacks because we're not meeting expected sales. usually there's a minimum of 2 models, one and register and one near the entrance somewhere but now there's a minimum of one. A few(shitty) people got fired and the managers are being pushed a lot. I feel bad for them cuz they're really good manager but the higher-ups of the company are assholes.

Yeah, my manager tried to sell it to me as "a more efficient way of doing things" and "This way we will be more personal with the customers" but it was pretty clear that it's because the company isn't doing as well as it once was. They just don't have the money to be paying more then 3 or 4 people to be working at a time, also closing now requires 1 person and a manager (and the managers do nothing as far as closing goes), I've been lucky enough to not have to close yet but when I do man that's gonna suck.

Yeah that's just what their required textbook response. I'm chill with my managers and they tell me what's actually going on. I pretty much hate working now unless it's the weekend when we're somewhat busy and have 4-5 models around. weekdays I practically work alone now with a manger hovering around. I wish they wouldn't be so stubborn and change up their image a little but meh.
