How do I become a /fa/ female? I can't walk in heels, although I'm seriously trying right now and watching videos etc.. asking my sister for help. I am not really sure who to look to, some people have suggested to look at youtube people and get "inspired" but I don't feel like that from anyone.

The only thing I know is I like shoes and watches. Please post /fa/ infographics for ladies or post pics of /fa/ women in general.

Send help.

>I can't walk in heels

Learn in boots. The support for your ankle will help. Also, start with chunkier, shorter heels while you get acclimated.

As far as developing your taste, you just do that as you go along. Being conscious of it helps, but it'll just take time and care. Try more things, try new things.

I just feel really weird because I'm like starting from scratch and I find something that I might like and then I'm not even sure if it fits right because in 21 years I've basically been wearing oversized clothing and then even if it does I get all panicky because I don't know what to do next.

Like, if I find a top I have no idea where to go from there. What bottoms? Jeans? What jeans? What shoes? Can I walk in those shoes? How do I into makeup? It's always hot outside, what do I do now?

This is really overwhelming

I'm a male but I'll tell you what I'd wear if I was a female:

Dresses, usually that reach near to knees or maybe beyond. Loose - tight nightclub dresses are not a good look imo. Black leggings always in cold months - I would not wear trousers unless I absolutely had to. Trousers are not becoming to women imo. Stay away from anything Forever 21-looking and olive parkas. No idea what kind of footwear I'd wear - I don't think I'm really attracted by high heels. I always swoon for women who wear flowers in their hair too.

A bit like this picture: http://lookboo letter dot nu /look/5882691-Pop-England-Velvet-Dress-With-White-Crochet minus the hat though she pulls it off.

Start with dresses and figure out what colors and silhouettes look good on you. Then you can move on to separates. Get basic shoes in black/neutral colors that will go with everything. Buy cheap dresses (until you figure out a style), but never buy cheap shoes. It will ruin your feet, and you will look tacky. Same goes for purses.

Poorly styled, Asos-centric rip-off of a Saint Laurent look; thanks, but no thanks. Projecting your personal tastes on to a personal stranger won't help her figure out what she really needs, much less wants.

>>7936215

These are questions that you learn by trying things on and being critical. Is that jean too tight or is it just something new? You'll find the sweet spot, but you can't be paralyzed by indecision before you've even given anything a try. Don't worry about figuring it all out at once. It's an experience and it takes time to process and distill.

PURSES! I completely forgot about that one. Wow. I carry a small wallet (not gonna lie, it's a mens Obey wallet I got as a gift), my phone, and keys. I usually just put my phone in one pocket, wallet in the other, and I carry my keys.

Awful, I know.

Purses feel uncomfortable/awkward. I don't know how to hold them. My arm dies when you do the bendy arm thing and they look stupid and feel uncomfortable if you put it up on your shoulder (I think?)

This is awful..

Question..

I would like to wear dresses/skirts but my legs are pale. I mean, VERY pale. I live in FL and my arms/face get a lot of sun even though I don't really go outside too much. My legs are SEVERAL shades lighter than my body, it's atrocious.

Does this look as awful as I think it does? Can I only wear skirts/shorts/dresses/whatever if I tan?

If you don't want to wear tights as >>7936332 suggested, perhaps try a semi-sheer hose in a neutral color (not nude). Alternatively, you could try cosmetic products like self-tanner if you're desperate. Frankly, I think it's whatever and if you start wearing skirts/dresses, they'll catch up to the rest of you in no time.

Are you fat? Please remember to lose weight before coming here. You sound fat, and fatties can't be helped by us. That's what /fit/ is for.

Fat can never be /fit/ especially not on a female.

i live in Arizona and i've done it. the camel jockeys know what to do in the sun: cover up, don't show skin. that will just destroy your skin.

>> No.7936499

Start with low heels, and slowly walk your way taller once you are more comfortable with each height. Heeled shoes take a little while to break in though, so every new shoe you wear will be a little uncomfortable for you until you've broken them to suit your walking style. Look for ones that have ankle support, and don't be afraid to buy those little gel cushions that will soften the pressure on the balls of your feet.

I don't think it's impossible, but many guys are used to seeing it on girls. If you're not super into it, but are curious, try just wearing specific things, like mascara, lip gloss/stick, blush, etc. instead of doing a whole face.

Yeah that is what I fear, everyone uses make up now and I look kind of unkempt around women with make up.

I just have this autistic fear of make up and allergies, make up brushes and bacteria.
I try to take care of my skin, eyebrows, hair and lips to look good with out make up, but you lose the game when every one is so used to seeing people with make up, there is even a style called "no makeup" make up that makes every one think you are not wearing any make up.

>> No.7937072

>>7937055

Well, the make-up you buy is not open and close to sterile, so that's unfounded.

Brushes can (and absolutely should) be cleaned, as well.

As I mentioned, if you don't want a whole routine, then just find features you want to highlight and highlight them. Lightening under the brows or eyeliner or tinted lip balm or whatever. One or two things, if you're curious. Try them and if you don't like it, move on.

And fill them in, seriously crazy how big a difference that can make on your face without doing anything else

But really things improve the most when you get out of the acne/breakouts period, once your skin is clear makeup doesn't seem that necessary

Depends on what you mean by /fa/ female. If you mean what looks good to /fa/: lose as much weight as possible but don't do any weightlifting, stay out of the sun until you're pale, get into high heels, use makeup that'll leave your face as smooth as possible and do contouring to make a thinner nosebridge, higher cheekbones, and dark, dramatic brows, alternate between no makeup look and dramatic makeup look if you'd like.
If you just mean fashionable or good looking in general: eat healthily and do some moderate exercise of your choosing like swimming, lifting weights, yoga for at least 30 minutes everyday, make sure you put on a lot of moisturizer when you go outside and if you do wear makeup, do light makeup unless it's a special occasion so it doesn't play hell with your skin. Wear shoes that you're comfortable in and won't twist your ankle and has support for your arches, do some research on your body and see what styles of waist looks best on you, try on clothes until you find some that you're comfortable in and like the style of, get one set that aren't quite in your comfort zone or what you usually wear but you like the look of and try to wear them to the market or park at least once a month or so.

Overall, confidence is the best thing. So if you're wearing some rad fit but you're fidgeting and trying to make sure no one is staring at you, you aren't going to look /fa/. Just uncomfortable.
