the thing I hate most is through all the years I've been here I've seen this community shit on every trip who ever took the risk of posting anything substantial. they're not perfect but many of them were passionate about fashion and contributed more than all of the fuccbois posting shit. It's always easier to talk shit than it is to say something intelligible and constructive, and the worst thing is you always take more risk to your internet cred by actually putting thought into your posts. which is funny everyone apparently cares so much considering most of us post without trips.

Anyway re sufu, I only check out a few of the threads but it seems more of the posters actually buy and wear the clothes discussed. I think on /fa/ we get a lot of cross traffic from HS seniors trying to get laid, which would be fine if they left their fucking egos on v or whatever.

Also the hot deals threads are useful. obviously I "prefer" here because I'm here more although I can't understand why anymore. I guess I like the imageboard format better than forums and occasionally there's legit discussions that make it worth it. Like why paramedics still go to work even though 90% of their job is abdominal pain and lower back pain.

4chan has no barrier to entry and has a vast population. /fa/ has plenty of genuinely knowledgeable people. Furthermore the constant speed of posting allows for a lot of new discussion and a good amount of interesting variety in content. that being said, you also have a massive influx of newbies, trolls and assholes who shitpost constantly.
meanwhile i'd say that sufu is focused on predominantly higher-tier fashion and there's a tremendous circle-jerk. the problem is that there's an incredibly high barrier to enter due to the tight-knight community. the forum is also a lot slower and has a much higher learning curve. that being said, it's nice that there are different threads and subforums for interests
they both have good and bad features. removing sufus rep feature would be a good idea and having a less acidic and harsh community might be beneficial for /fa/ but all in all there's not much that can be done. /fa/ is forever plagued by its own probs and so is sufu
