Courrier horror stories?

>Order Rick Pod shorts

>118 in duty fees.

>since i know i'll be at work, i arrange for pick up at the local fedex store so i don't miss the delivery guy
>next day, check tracking info, says the package arrived at the fedex store, but has already been SIGNED for
>freak out, drive straight to fedex store to check on it
>they say, "oh yea, we got it"
>the spend 30 minutes rummaging around the store looking for it, can't find it anywhere
>"welp, anon, there's nothing we can do, here call this toll free number maybe they can help you"
>steam coming out of my ears, red in the face, about to pop a cap in this niggas face

long store short, i called the toll free number, they told me the package arrived at the pick up location, then some stupid ass delivery man signed for it and took it out for delivery, and of course i wasn't home. then they had to take it back to the fed ex store, print a new shipping label for it, before i could pick it up.

took me 2 extra days to get my package

>> No.7919551

no real courier horror stories, thankfully. i've had shit always miss me when i'm home and almost get sent back, but that's easy to fix.

now i usually just get stuff shipped to my job becuz there's always someone here. and i'm usually always here, so.

living in an old apartment building was always tricky too, because they ddin't have keys to the building so they would leave your package outside the apartment complex and hopefully someone didn't steal it. shit always got jacked from my building.

every single courier story is a horror story where I live. 25% duty fees on everything. All the private couriers take advantage of this by paying it for us and taking obscene fees (often more than doubling the price of the initial fee) for this "service". We have no choice in the matter, we cannot for instance just pay the fucking fee ourselves, which the official customs services do not mind, I might add.
As most foreign companies only ship through UPS or DHL we just hafe to accept the huge shitty cock fucking us and then pay it after.
