Could we get cosy inspo
Can be workwear, comfycore, warm colors in general/interior design (not necessarily fashion), tumblrs, relaxed styles (eg. those put out by The Elder Statesman)...

I'm trying to build a style based on comfort, warm colors and a generally relaxed, "natural" aesthetic if that makes sense.

Talking about comfycore, I'd like to wear sweatpants + knits casually but the only sweatpants I own are shitty Adidas straight leg/relaxed fit track pants.

I'd like something well made, tapered (not too slim or skinny, I don't want leggings), cuffed at the ankles.

Where should I look? Are Thom Browne sweatpants nice?

How to dress cozy? You can chase cozy-core approved designers (Trouve) on the internet but honestly it's just about an aesthetic sense to get the right mix of visual texture for outfits with the right "softness." You can honestly manage cozycore with thrift finds on everything except outwear.

is upsizing one size acceptable for cozy clothing? i want to buy a sweatshirt but medium is out of stock so i might buy large. will i look like a faggot?

>> No.7920934

>>7920907
I would normally advice against buying clothing that doesn't fit, but it depends on your aesthetic. Look at this thread and you'll notice people coming from different directions, some stuff works for them but wouldn't work for other folks. Oversized will work if it works with what you're wearing, it'll be out of place if it's out of place. Sorry if that seems like a truism.

Valid. I struggled with what I should include on that topic but I know that cozy shorts are actually kind of easy to come across thrifting and I've seen cozy anons work cozy shorts into spring and summer fits. Long pants, I wouldn't expect anything.

Uhh, kind of? Most large clothes are fundamentally constructed in such a way that making them fit smaller would take as much effort as making a garment from scratch (not worth it) You couldn't, for example, change the waist size on pants, or adjust the cut more than a few cm before the whole garmet became skewed.

>> No.7921415

If your pants fit then they fit. But taking in the legs too much skinnier than it was originally cut is going to make noticeable distortion. I've done this too, I know what you're talking about but it doesn't really seem like you do. Slight alterations are doable (obviously) but making it sound as if one can pluck something off of the rack and use tailor magic to make it fit is highly misleading.
