How true is this? I feel like I dress nice but I'm definately not experienced enough to move out of the "b/w minimalism" look. I've been thinking about copping my first grail and piece and after considering this quote, I'm thinking my best route is to go with some special sneakers or boots to accent my otherwise basic outfit.

As long as I have a nice pair of shoes on I never feel underdressed. It's definitely the article I focus/spend the most on.

There's more to minimalism than b/w ninja, I'm sure that's not what he is saying.

This is a silly way to put it though. How is it passive-aggressive? Trying to say too much with your clothing is definitely needy/lame though.

Same, with jackets in a close second.

Just buy good neutral color basics and then whatever shoes/jackets you wear determines what kind of outfit it is.

i split my fits in 3 parts

top

bottom

shoes

you can get away with one of these items that are basic as long as the other two are interesting.
for example: basic tee, nice bottom and nice shoes
pic is an example of basic shoes being pulled off with interesting cut/texture on top and bottom
