If you read the k-hole issue on normcore i dont think its about contributing to your own sense of individuality and standing out, but more about finding common ground rather than being different, in an age where its increasingly difficult really stand out because of how quickly information is spread across age generations

Yeah I feel like this is just how I have been dressing, but it might just be how normal people dress?

I want to blend in a bit, not draw too much attention to myself, but at the same time not look like total shit. And I don't want to wear a peacoat, colored H&M pants and a loose beanie like every other fag at uni.

I do like to break "rules" like wearing "Dad jeans" on purpose, because I know that even dorky looking clothes can be pulled off with the right wardrobe combination and attitude.

Is this what normcore is about? Or did GQ just make a name for the normal way that normal people pick clothes and try to pass it off as an article?
