at face value, you're looking at a puffy jacket, white, with a big yellow scorpion on the back.

To be completely honest, don't cop the exact piece. You'll look like you're trying too hard to be Ryan Gosling, and nothing is worse than a tryhard. Instead, put in the effort and look at the roots of what makes the jacket "work". Is it the souvenir jacket style that you like? The quilted material? The fit?

Wearing the exact jacket won't do you any favors unless you are Ryan Gosling himself, and even then you would look kind of goofy wearing it out of context. Instead, you should aim to discern what makes the piece so desirable and then work that aspect into what you like.

Ok look, there's a lot of fucking shit that goes into making costume design look good, and I'm no bandit, but that is a costume.

It is a garment for a fictional movie in which the directors were in total control of how it looked on Gosling, not to mention it was on Gosling who wore it throughout without a second thought in his head.

It looks timid on most people, poorly made, without the same sheen from dat controlled lighting, and without the same legitimacy from being in a movie, on a very attractive, confidant man. Not only that but its connection to the movie makes it a bit campy IRL, especially if it looks something like OP's image.

It's not unfair at all to say that it doesn't look good on pretty much every picture I've seen with a dude wearing it. If you think you're the special snowflake who's gonna work it, you better buy one that's good looking, you better be 200% 80's cool, you better fucking work it, and you better work it like you've been wearing it your whole fucking life.
