I went out today to get some low top white leather sneakers. I tried both the CP Achilles and since a shop just got em in the new National Standard Edition 3s.
I gotta say I see no reason to buy CPs. They almost look identical, they have the same quality of leather, the sole is even exactly the same. Only difference is that CPs have a shitty heel that feels like plastic and cost $100 more.

Easiest decision of my life. Don't get CPs.

I have the basic black patents, might get another pair in a different colorway this season or some other style from Lanvin. They're not really for basic skinny jeans and t-shirt with a parka (aka the /fa/ uniform). They're like flashy modern sneakers, and they need a more modern and upscale sportsweary vibe in the outfit (so Lanvin and Ervell). I think the tailoring comment is pretty accurate. I wear mostly Ervell and they look good when I'm wearing wool trousers or similar getups that are more smart-formal. They can work sort of with baggier jeans as well but they really look good when it's a more put together look.

Not that anon, I live in ipswich and I have a pair of the charcoal/white ones (basically black/white) and I recently put white leather laces on them. They look really sick, I've seen a few other people with them at my collage, but I mainly use them for the gym now, and occasionally wear them as a casual shoe, even though the white laces sets them apart.

There are some bad parts, like really bad, but I think every city has it's rough parts. I'm at uni here and all around the university is really nice. I checked out a few universities all around the country and Liverpool was the nicest for sure. There's a stereotype to people that live here that they steal everything, pretty misconception, all the Scousers I know are all really nice. It was voted one of the most cultural cities in Europe or the world, I forgot which. I like it here but I do know of bad parts

Find a shirt that fits better or spend a few bucks to get it tailored. It looks too large, especially in the sleeves and arms. Even for more casual interviews, I think the collar should be able to stand up well if you are wearing it without a tie.
