What's a good techie alternative to wearing black denim?
I live in a fairly rainy area and would rather wear something with some weather resistance, while still having a nice jet black color and a skinny fit.

People have recommended Outlier Climbers before, any other thoughts?

How do I DIY Jacket sling?

>> No.7831675

i do, it's pretty thick and rigid so far. but it feels like it could keep me warm in really cold temperatures so it's aiiite.

What's the sizing like? I'm typically an L, should I go for a M?

>> No.7831720

>>7831685
Well I usually wear M; i'm 6'0 and slim but not thin build and i feel like its sleeves could be a tiny bit longer. you should probably go for a L if you normally wear L. also in case you weren't expecting it, the jacket's pretty heavy, but that goes along with its heavy duty protection against the cold.

I wonder
does /fa/ actually have any use for this tech stuff?
or are you all just attracted to the aesthetic?
being /fa/ and not /out/ I'm assuming the latter

but when somebody actually posts some material information, I 'd be pretty impressed.

does anybody here actually know how to
A:regulate body temperature
B:stay dry
C:stay warm
D:stay cool
E:circulate blood properly
F:smell good
G:mobility/ergonomics

I stopped wearing raw denim when I realised how bad it actually is for your spine. cool story..

Doesn't it have a removable fleece? I was hoping after that was removed it'd be kind of thin

>> No.7831781

depending on the fit, startch level, stretch, lots of other components that all hinder your body's natural gate, the forces can have a very slow, passive degenerative affect on your nerves, muscles can become significantly weaker and others become tighter while you walk, which a lot of people don't take very seriously, it doesn't sound 'that bad'
but when you get sciatica for the first time, you'll understand how delicate the body is as a machine, and how small things over time can do a lot of harm
of course that doesn't mean denim is bad, it just means that if what you're wearing changes your gate in any way, it could maybe possibly lead to poor spine health later in life.
if you can't run in it freely, odds are it's not good for you.

Interesting post, reminded me of a quote by some architect, he said something like 'true beauty comes from practicality'. Which is something I've thought about a lot lately: looking good through careful selection of ergonomic and practical clothing.
