My CDBs age really badly.

What are nice brands for (much) higher quality desert boots? I've heard good things about Pierre Hardy and they look quite nice (I like the slim profile). Does /fa/ have an opinion on Pierre Hardy quality? Also, my price range is high, so feel free to recommend very high end stuff as long as it's not bespoke.

Clarks are terrible quality. They look like absolute shit when worn in.
I'm not putting shoe trees in something that cost me barely a hundred bucks. I'd rather buy something that's actually well made.

Get some Allen Edmonds chukka boots in shell cordovan. Cordovan leather ripples rather than creases, so it will get better with age (provided you tree them and wear them once a week). It is also more weather resistant than cow leather. As with anything cordovan, be prepared to pay around $600 for a new pair.

The sole on the APCs is hideous.

Also, I like CP sneakers, but I've never heard anything about the quality of their DBs or formal shoes.

>>7805367
>wear them once a week
I don't mind using a shoe tree, but I'd wear them more than once a week.
About ripples and creases, wouldn't suede be better if I don't want visible marks of aging?

I've given you 5 options. You can do some searching on your own from here.

>> No.7805406

>>7805383
Suede is better at masking wear but can't resist water as effectively as calf or cordovan. And yes, you can wear cordovan boots more than once a week, but doing so will make the boots last 20 years instead of 30. YMMV.

/fa/ goddamn
is this board entirely comprised of trendhopping fifteen year olds?

OP, if you have the money, what you posted in your original post (the cleverleys) is one of the best you can do that's not bespoke

apart from that, look into Carmina, Berluti, John Lobb, Edward Green, Viberg's custom made boots, Tom Ford and perhaps Alden (quality is a step down from the others, though) if you like a slim profile.

if you want something a step up from 1880 loakes the sanders casual line has some chukkas and desert boots
i think there's 3 models, that basically only differ on the kind of sole they have: one is crepe, another redbrick, third is rubber/dainite/

still, the loake kempton suede (dainite sole) is good enough
