I visited the Acne Studios in LA yesterday.

Store was really nice and the workers there were some the nicest I've ever met.

I tried on some Adrian sneakers which fit really nice. If highly recommend that if anyone buts any they get them in black and not white. Also Black Adrians>>>>>>>Black Achilles

I tried on some Ace Cash jeans and I feel like they are the most over rated thing on /fa/. They aren't raw or selvedge and the denim quality felt just barely higher than Uniqlo. Also the sizing is awkward as fuck. I have a 31 inch waist and even though everyone here says they are true to size a 31 fit loose in the waist and legs.

Their coated jeans were sick though.

Also, you're fucking high if you think Acne is only slightly better than Uniqlo denim. Uniqlo is hella budget and the denim is fucking bad.

actually, if you've handled acne jeans in person you'd see they're quite shitty. Mad in China, non selvedge, shitty denim, and awful stitching on the inside (seriously, it's a mess of thread where the pockets meet the jeans). I'm sure some fuccbois are going to write me off (in b4 diaper boy) but I regularly pic up acne jeans at Buffalo exchanges and flip them. I have yet to be impressed.

I think the comparison is more you're comparing very low quality/price in acne to very high quality/price in uniqlo. Uniqlos mij and current selvedge is really nice for the price, and not noticeably worse than acne. If uniqlo ever did MIJ black/black raws Acne would have absolutely nothing on uniqlo in terms of jeans.

I've tried on N&F black denim and own a pair of left hand twills. I can tell you that while the N&F don't have as good of a cut, the denim quality is twice that of Acne.

also I think you underestimate the power of a good tailor

althought the old t000 were super skinny, slimmer than 510s which are on par with ace

My acne aces just got their first hole on the crotch/thigh section while I was fighting with my brother yesterday.
Had them for 1.5 years aprox, but I've worn them a ton tho.

My personal rating on the Black Acne Aces :

>quality of the material : 5/10
seems normal, better than cheap monday

>overall feeling of the jeans when worn : 9/10
very very comfy even tho mine were tight when I bought them

>fit : 9/10
never had to complain about the fit, skinny, but not too much, just right.

Also, the jeans had a VERY VERY subtle shiny tint which looked awesome and high quality, it went after two washes. (I washed them twice in 1.5 years.)
I'm very satisfied overall.
