I don't understand how Cav Empt is a thing. It's shorthand for "Caveat Emptor", which means buyer beware/buyer's remorse when translated from Latin.

From wiki:

"The phrase caveat emptor arises from the fact that buyers often have less information about the good or service they are purchasing, while the seller has more information. Defects in the good or service may be hidden from the buyer, and only known to the seller. Thus, the buyer should beware"

To me, it seems like Sk8thing is pulling some well thought out troll on everyone. The designs are cool, but it's like he's got no respect for the customer.

Who's the loser there? It's like the opposite of most stuff that sucks - if someone means to make something awesome, that intention doesn't invalidate someone's negative reaction. An earnest positive reaction to a "troll" work is still valid.

Also, c.f. the whole Ugly Painting Contest in "How Should a Person Be."

As far as whether it is a troll - sure, it's called Cav Empt, but I think that's just the kind of open-ended posturing you see a lot in this general sector of fashion.
