Applying for a job at one of the more respectable fashion retail stores called Zambesi where i live, sells its own line and Rick, MMM etc..., as I'm friends with a guy who knows the menswear designer there. Guy got back to my mutual friends saying he wants to see my (currently outdated/crappy) CV. Applying merely as a sales assistant, what you think I should include?

Nice! Im going for the welly one as i move back down their for Uni soon. May i ask whats your work history like? ive only really worked 1 job in retail, others have been in hospitality/cafes etc. Im up in Auckland right now though so might try swing by

hahah exactly, thats why might try ask for an interview or something with the guy somewhere in there so I can better convey shit across. Im trying to start my own line so hopefully can use that as a point of interest/stand out from the crowd etc but again, can only really convey the idea/concept through speech n shit so idk. I just hope he doesn't open CV and be like...lol this guy.

If you work at a store like h&m most of your time is spent tidying, taking clothes from the fitting rooms to put away, on fitting room duty or on tills anyway.
There's not much pure customer service aspect opportunities in a busy store.
In high end stores without hordes flailing through sale racks it'd be more customer service based, but if you go for h&m tier stores it's a lot of annoying little tasks.

sorry fell asleep and you probs wont see this but without giving to much away yes i have designs and so far im working on a jacket/bomber, coat, shirts both L/S and S/S shorts and leggings. Theres a graphic print which is a motif through all the pieces however something very unique will occur with it if i can get ahold of the correct scientific materials. Also the clothing materials themselves im trying to use lots of different, interesting fabrics sort of like BBS.
