If you enjoy a certain piece of art, a film, an album, etc., try to analyze why.
Go deeper than just "it's good" or "it's bad". Get to the heart of what makes the art something that is powerful or shit.
Also, create things. It's fun and cool.

Have genuine interests, don't get into things just to look cool.

Those are my thoughts, at least.
