Well, the first one is an open front shawl cardigan. The second is, yeah, a draped cardigan. For something in a finer jersey, try a contemporary men's line like a Thom Krom or Knomadik or something. I feel like Unconditional does stuff like this all the time, too.

Like, around your waist? It's whatever. There's always that kinda late 80's, early 90's-ish reference to it, but many kids don't remember that. Not for me (especially given the cardigans I own), but I've seen shirts and other knits tied and layered well.
