Evening /fa/, it's been a while.
My name is Brina, I'm a journalist student at the Red River College. As a part of our program, we're required to pitch, produce and publish a magazine. It's all mock, though: nothing will actually be published IRL.

For my feature article, I'm writing about social media and body image.

I'm looking to interview women who are part of the thinspo and thigh gap culture. You will not be shammed for what you do. Admittedly, I used to consume this content too (but I eventually got to my desired weight, and my search for the images tapered off), so I'm not going to look at you like as if you're some kind of freak. I just want to hear your stories, and your perspectives, on how thinspiration images affect you, why you seek the images out, and the like to give my piece a human element.

I'm 5'9 and 110 lb. I have some pictures which have been spread around tumblr and 4chan as thinspo.

I absolutely agree with you. The whole premise of our magazine is body postivity, which includes thin people (I'm one myself...mostly).

These were my prepared questions. The first three questions have to do with grounding the reader (in this case, my instructors). Name and age are critical for me to include, but you don't have to say them here on 4chan.

I love it too. CreComm is really tough, but it's fucking awesome. The experiences, the projects, the reflections of what you'd expect in industry, and so on are invaluable. I highly, highly recommend it to anyone looking to do journalism/ad/PR/media production.

I began by finding people IRL to interview, not by scouting the Internet. When my first subject wasn't quite what I was looking for (didn't really use thinspiration, but rather simply critiqued it) I went to /fa/ because of all the thinspo threads. Already being a user of 4chan, I knew the rules of posting and what not.

Anyway, getting a recommendation is much better than random Googling, IMO. Not bad for like, an hour. Give me a break.
