They're supposed to be large, since its very light and designed yo be worn with a liner or undershirt.

When it gets cold, you will be thankful that its big. I'd personally keep it, flecktarn isnt designed to be worn extremely skinny and it'll feel awkward on you.

Try looking for the liner for it, its very nice and extremely warm.

You should size down I THINK. I find it impossible to tell by sight mostly though, unless it's super obvious. I see the shoulder seam looks like it protrudes but is it designed to do that? Extra arm baggage and around the chest etc but again it's military so I can imagine that being the intended style.

Anyway whenever you shop you should pick up the size you think you are then one lower too. Try on the smaller one, if it DOESN'T feel stupid tight it's probably a better fit. If you shop in a luxury boutique the assistant will tell you which size out of the two fits better.

Best thing you can do when shopping online is go into a really reputable tailor, get all your measurements taken, then check Mr Porter size information (has specifics) before buying any item. You can also take tape measures into stores.

Stylebop provides specific garment measurements too.

Thanks for the replies. I'm not sure returning it is worth it, the chest on this jacket is 105 cm, and the only size left with the same length is 95-100 cm. I don't think there would be too much of a difference, plus returning it isn't free.
