I got the white windsmock in the mail today. I know that's not what you want OP but just saying: The zippers zip smoothly and there's attention to detail. It's made entirely out of nylon and feels kinda soft. It's not hard and does not feel super plastic-y. I'm not sure if the ultra patricians of /fa/ would approve but it's freakin' nylon not cashmere.

Torrentshell's aren't windbreakers, though. They're windproof, but they're hardshells: fully waterproof, much less breathable. And they're a 2.5 layer shell, less breathable and durable than a 3 layer. (Patagonia's 3-layer is actually the most breathable around, or at least was until Gore Active came around. Haven't seen it tested against it. And they make awesome jackets in it, as well as Gore Pro and Active, both 3 layers.)
