why do some backpacks have this sort of thing going on?

>> No.7685593

its for headphones

>> No.7685595

It's a yield sign indicating to the person behind you to pause and think about how unfashionable you are.

>> No.7685596

No, it's an attachment point for carabingers and straps.

>> No.7685605

you can lube it up and fuck it on those lonely days.

that shows you the backpack was produced in asia, probably garbage quality. they put their eating-sticks in there.

>> No.7685624

It's an emergency condom

well which one is it?

>> No.7685656

It's probably actually a holdout from ice axe straps. The pick would go through a loop at the bottom of the pack and you'd tie a string through those holes to secure the handle.

>>7685579
It's used to hold laces/rope things.. i.e. shoes

>> No.7686237

It's so that you can attach it to your belt and use it as a reverse fanny pack. You plebs know nothing of fashion.

Real reason they are there: (/out/ here)
Usually there are a few of them on the pack to attach ones bedroll to. Or you can just put other straps or carabiners or whatever. The reason its on that pack is because it is seen by hipsters as "stylish," "outdoorsy," or "functional." When really it will probably break since its put there for form not function.

>not just trusting the woman's judgement
what are you some misogynist sexist pig?

women are perfect, plus that woman had the good sense to have sex with you so you know she has good judgement

stick it in raw, only thing you have to worry about is trying to remember her name

>> No.7688183

it's a herschel trademark, afaik.

>> No.7688238

You can attach things to it with belts.

There's no purpose to have one on a bag if you're not actually the hiking or innawoods type.

Streetwear brands just put it on as a stylistic item.

I attach smaller bags to mine in spite of being a city slicker.

>> No.7688245

also

No, they stole it from earlier bags. My vintage Eastpak has one.

Sieg you're not alpha enough to be implying such things.

>> No.7688275

>Some
I think you mean most

It's meant to be a loop to attach a carabiner to but now every company sticks them on their backpacks because they're lazy and unimaginative.
