I carry a Nexus 4, plastic CAN be cheap and disgusting I agree. But it can also look incredibly good, especially if its soft touch. But really, it comes down to the back of your phone, thats the largest area and on the Nexus thats glass with a dot texture behind it.

I admire the iPhone I really do, but its too smaller screen.

tl;dr while there are trashy phones out there, the Nexus 4 can hardly be classed as one of them.
