Then wear spring and summer wear from the same brands. There are plenty of shorts, tees, shirts, light jacket that are made in tech fabrics.

Techwear goes both ways, keeping you from being too hot or from being too cold.

Check out mesh, quick drying fabrics, and I would avoid polyester like the plague.

theres a different side to tech besides water/wind resistance. buy tech shirts that wick sweat like merino wool, or 3 way shorts that dry quickly.

Confirmed for not knowing shit about synthetic fabrics.
There's a difference between good polyester and bad polyester; good polyester is comfortable and dries quickly while wicking away moisture, bad polyester is the shit used to cut fabrics like cotton in order to make it cheaper and usually ends up being itchy and uncomfortable.
I think what you meant to say was avoid cotton like the plague as cotton is a largely undesirable fabric in most techwear pieces on account of its poor moisture control and its tendency to dry very slowly.

He might've meant avoid polyester because OP lives in Florida, idk about other people but I can't wear poly outside of winter months that shit gets me really hot
