I am a very petite girl and have troubles finding clothing that fits me or that looks good on me.
any tips?

I'm not as short as you (I'm about 5'2 or 5'3) but the most important thing is that the clothes fit your proportions. Shop for things specifically designed for petites whenever possible, and spend the extra to get pants and such hemmed and taken in to fit.
Other than that just wear whatever flatters your body shape.

we have basically the same proportions, but I'm 5'1. There's not a whole lot of stores for our lot, but if you visit stores targeted for teenagers, you'll find something somewhat decent. I also go to The Loft, because of their petites section. I haven't found any other stores that really has a nice fit for petites. There's also online stores, but I tend to stay away from those. You can also check out your local stores/independent businesses.I have better luck on those.

go to extrapetites blog, its momcore but you'll get an idea of where to go for tailored pieces.

designer wise, stay away from anything scandanavian - opt for european and asian designers. cheap monday however seem to size fairly small. topshop has a petite range which has more cheap 'on trend' stuff that isnt of absolute shit quality. zara is too big most of the time..

yeah, not sure how i feel about it. It was $10 at a thrift store thought it was pretty neat, didn't know what i was gonna wear it with, haven't found a good fit with that coat yet.
