This is probably one of the greatest misunderstandings concerning fashion: that it's about dressing up. Even when you say the phrase "dressing up" it sounds like a kid trying too hard to be something he's not, and that's what fashion just isn't.

Fashion is about dressing, not up, not down, but wanting to achieve a certain aesthetic. When well executed, it looks in place and correct on you, it feels and looks right.
