I'd be curious to see how the old standard fits on regular shoes over boots.

Obviously new looks better in this particular interest, but I dunno if the new standard could cuff with regular shoes.

idk bruh check out the APC butler program

>> No.7620166

it looks good in the OP pic, but every single fit i've seen with PNS taper waaaay too much. Like it looks like a near skin tight fit in the calve with a "comfortably skinny" seat and thigh so it just looks awkward. I would recommend sizing down on the PS than buying PNS in your regular size.

>> No.7620172

>>7620158
Crotch blowouts are totally repairable. There's great companies out there that use a process called darning in which they weave new thread in with your denim and create what's effectively a patch without seams.

Context can fuck off. My New Cure has smaller measurements, plus it's not a straight leg; it actually tapers to just above the ankle, very hard, then suddenly flares out.

I usually pin roll them slightly, but I'm pissed that I spent this much on jeans and they fit not how it was described, it says it tapers a shit ton, but it flares out, a tiny bit.

:(

are there any other raws out there that fit like the petit standard but with better construction and similar lack of branding? love the fit, love the simplicity, but two crotch blowouts and the super shallow pockets suuuuuuuck.

>>7620227
>I'm not willing to ask the manufacturer because I'll be proven wrong.

Talk about having a chip on your shoulder. Here's what I was told by APC themselves: The petit standard has a shorter rise and narrower hip than the new cure, but is straighter through the leg. The new cure has a similar hip and rise to the new standard, but tapers sharply, and results in a very skinny fit. Which one fits tighter will depend on your leg shape (fat thighs = no petit standard for you) but the new cure is intended to be the hyper skinny fit.

The new petit standard didn't exist when I asked them.

Tbh i never understood where people got the idea that NC were the skinniest fit.

I have all three of the main ones (PS, NC, NS) and I can definitely tell you from first hand exp that PS are the slimmest out of the three.

NC is more just a slouchy slim and has a slight flare at the bottom. The thigh and seat are more slouchy and loose than PS. It actually feels quite relaxed in comparison and the calves are slightly loosee but still slim/skinny. NC also have a lower rise than PS.

NS are a Slim-straight/Straight or however you want to describe it.

i too also thought that PNS were supposed to be between a PS and NS.
