Hello guys
I am in the market for a new pair of jeans, and I'm really looking into some raws. Anyone have any recommendations?

Right now I'm interested in the N&F rainbow fade just bc I think it looks cool, but show me what you got.

Also if anyone has that pic with like 6 dope pairs of raws laid down beside each other feel free to post it

>> No.7607272

>>7607254
I would get a more tradition pair for your first raws. Get some N&F left hand twills and size down until it's super tight on the waist. They fade really well. Rainbow fade is ugly imo.

It looks okay. It's up to you tbh. I'm a 31" actual waist too. Do you want skinny or Weird Guys?

>> No.7607315

God. Why do these have to be in Weird Guys?

Anyways, check out Gustin OP. They put out some nice stuff on their website, and the one with the orange finish line looks bretty nice. 16 oz.

i think the rainbows only come in weird guys
I have muscular thighs though so I don't think that's a bad thing bc of the weird guy fit, although I can still fit skinnies fine.

I can get them pretty cheap in a 29 should I just go with that?

also Is it a no-no to alter raw denim?

>> No.7607336

>>7607321
I'm a 31" waist and I got a 29 and they fit pretty good but a bit loose. Idk how much rainbows stretches (most N&F stretch a ton). I would say try to get a 28, but I would take 29 if they are real cheap.

>(most N&F stretch a ton)
How much is a ton?
My LHT slim guys just came in today. I ordered my regular size, they seem super tight in the waist and thigh area right now but I plan on loosing quite a bit of weight soon so will the stretch make them unwearable?

>> No.7607372

>>7607357
Mine went from being really tight to a size too big. In LHT, I would size to where I could barely button the top (if at all), but you have to find the happy medium between waist tightness and thigh tightness. The thigh will stretch a fair bit on LHT but not as much as the waist.

>> No.7607363

I wouldn't be able to wait for the fades so I'd end up sandpapering the shit out of them! haha. P.s. My jeans aren't selvedge. Does that mean they're not dipped? Or can you get non selvedge denim that is dipped rather than soaked in dye. /fa/nx.

Naw, it's the only real good image I saw of them and saved it a while back.

those rainbow fades are freakin' sick! I just got my first pair of apc petit standards yesterday and am wearing them right now. I am enjoying the fit and the quality (though I would have expected them to be a little better considering the $200 retail price; they seem to be a little nicer than my banana republic jeans plus the self edge). I am also getting a pair of W+H black skinnies which should be coming in the next week or so.

new to /fa/ here. i have a question about jeans b/c i hate jean shopping with a passion. i want jeans that aren't lose on me nor baggy as hell. i want the very bottom of the jeans to be kinda snug and dont drape over my shoes. no clue what to shop for. someone help me out

this
only stains i got from my raws were on the back of some white leather shoes and i just cleaned it off with water

they will only stain for like a week or two at most anyway, plus unless you're like tucking your shirts in or sitting on the back of them i dont think they are going to stain your white shirts

and you can just cuff them if you're worried about them staining your shoes

It's called a taper.

Most taper fit jeans or carrot fit jeans are somewhat baggy at the top. and skinny towards the hem.

All jeans stretch though, so size down so you it doesn't look bad as it ages.

It doesn't cost much to have a tailor do it.

Any dry clean tailor can do it, usually for 10-20 bucks.

the ones you linked are raw. you nothing will say its color forever, but you can soak them before you wear to preserve some color (like most say) but why even do that? i'd wait until they need a wash and do it then. just handwash it in cold water, inside out, with woolite black detergent to preserve color.
