Physically go to a shoe store, serious. Even DSW if that's all you've got near you. You can buy a decent looking pair for 50-80 dollars easily. If you seriously refuse to leave the house, try shopping in the normal go-to locations like asos, zappos, urban outfitters, etc. Just try to buy bigger names if you can since the smaller ones are typically bad quality.

Why are many of these models so god damned skinny? When did it become acceptable for a male to not have some bulk and muscle?

They have skinny arms, they have no waist, their legs are laughable and they are most often than not short (not much one can do about that, so it's kind of a moot point though). In this entire thread, I've only seen TWO models that could pass for men, the other all women-bodied lackies.
