Actually I remember going over this topic in our World History class. Apparently she was not hot at all. Her face was kind of ugly but she held power over her partners because of how she carried herself and what she did in bed.

I remember a recalling of one account where she presented herself where she was dressed up like a goddess and had maidens carrying mirrors to reflect light upon herself. I don't remember the specifics, but I think she did things like that and that is why there are accounts of her being beautiful.
