Baking soda and a little bit of water to make it pastey + toothbrush and scrub

do this to the SOLES not the leather, get a leather cleaner. I've read you can use an eraser and it'll remove some marks but I haven't had much luck with that technique

ya should be able to use either calcium carbonate, in toothpaste commonly, or sodium bicarbonate, otherwise known as baking soda. in either case they're used to ablat junk off the surface of stuff.

the baking soda's probably a better idea just because it's cheaper. and, aside from the taste, baking soda is also a better toothpaste than toothpaste.
