Depends on the context.
Out and about in town fashion is mostly inspired by er, just me. I just see things that I like and piece them together, sometimes if i'm looking for a certain item of clothing i'll keep a bit of an eye out whilst i'm wandering in the more arty parts of town to see if anything strikes me.

For clubbing, I'm pretty much exclusively inspired by Berlin's gay club scene. Fucking hell they know how to dress well. Naturally it's all black. They also know how to party far better than straight people. Bunch of well dressed mad 'eds.

being inspired by someone doesn't mean wanting to dress exactly like that. everyone is a product of a mix of influences, and the more diverse they are, the better, usually.
