Thinking of making my own dip-dye sweater. The ones I've seen are black on top and white on the bottom, but I'm thinking of reversing it. But i dunno. Which is better (black to white or white to black) in your opinion, and why?

Also, I'm poor, so what's a good cheap jumper I should get to do this to? I was thinking American Apparel (yeah, I actually like their stuff; sue me), but I was there today and tried on their jumper and it fit all funny (which is odd, because AA stuff usually fits me like a glove... a glove that fits well, not a glove that doesn't fit well... a glove that fits like a glove), so I'm thinking I'll try something else. Uniqlo looks great, but they don't ship to Canada. What else is there that's cheap, but has fine quality for the price (isn't H&M-tier, which will spontaneously combust in sunlight, giving me 3rd-degree burns in the process)?

I would say American Apparel's cardigans are pretty slim (the baby rib ones seem to run a tad small, and the tri-blend rib ones are longer and looser, but still have a slender silhouette), but this forum hates that store because it is not expensive enough, so I won't say that.

Anyway, cardigans are things you layer on top of something else, so I'm not sure how much of your physique you can possibly show off through them (except for really fat people, who can show off their physiques through anything short of concrete). I would say that if you want to make a point of displaying your /fitness, just wear a t-shirt. Those are the only things that can fit tight enough. Wearing too-small clothes will just make you look silly.

Hmm. I do typically wear black pants, so it does make sense to think about the jumper in relation to those. Good call. Both the contrast option and the "fade into pants" option sound cool, but the contrast one sounds a little better. I suppose I'll do that. Although, if the jumper I find is cheap enough, there's no reason not to just do both designs, I guess.

Two questions.

1. Does anybody know how Jack Purcells fit compared to regular Converse All Stars? I tried All Stars and they were a bit narrow in the toes, but otherwise fine. If it's similar can anybody recommend any similar trainers (sneakers if you're from that part of the world). Doesn't have to be a similar price but I'd prefer them to be available in the UK.

you pay the double price for the heart and colorway and nothing more
the only difference is the logo on the hell is molded into the sole and is more vintage than the b/w converse tab on the back of normal chucks

you have a normal pair to compare to right?
it's pretty obvious, although you can see the way the colorway helps the shoes
have black hi tops, thought they were slimmer but it's just a visual effect of the colorway

I've been lurking for a few months now and wanna get a pair of minimal black high tops, but don't know what to get. I love the look of the KVA zips in black (pic related), but I don't really want to pay ~$700 bucks for my first high tops. I also like the look of CP tournament highs. Can /fa/ recommend me any minimal black leather high tops that are under $500? White or black sole, doesn't matter, just a clean black leather upper like CPs or KVAs.
