Let's go out! There is a clock in the car, and what is more important, on your cell, what is always with you, so there is absolutely no reason to wear a watch. Once you are at work, or in school, there are clocks everywhere.

I wonder how the watchmaking industry is doing in these days, specially that even quite good watches can be made for cheap, thus there isn't much profit in making them.

Of late, the poor old wristwatch has been deemed rather obsolete, with most people opting to use their phones as timekeeping devices. Since approximately 99.97% of people who currently enjoy Capitalism have cellphones, a glorified lady's bracelet just seems cumbersome nowadays.

Watches are the only jewelry a man can wear. You can say they're are useless, but seriously, you're on the /fa/ board, it's fucking hypocrite to talk about utility here.
Watches are useful when you're an adult, you don't want to look like those annoying teenagers constantly on their phone, texting, playing games, looking at time. It states that you're a grown up, the money you put into, the design that you will chose WILL reflect an image of what you are, if you have taste or not.
