Why does it bother you OP. generally /fa/'s doctrine is don't dress for others. Why should others dress to please you, or rather, stop trying?
I personally think if you are fat you won't look good in clothes, but you shouldn't tell people who have had no choice in how tall or good looking they are by birth that they shouldn't dress well. If someone wants to improve themselves and likes nice cuts and fabric then that's their choice, they know they'll never be a model, but does that really matter?
