Hi /fa/, I want to look grown up.

I'm 5'7, about 125 lbs and with the clothes I have, I look about 16 but I'm actually 21.
Pls no forwards to >>>/fit/ as once I'm done exams I'll be going down that road.
For now, what threads will make me look older/sophisticated (as I'm going into the Education/Teaching field) without wearing tuck-ins/suits.

>tl;dr fits to make anon look older

>> No.7450236

OP, just search "Rick Owens"

He makes clothes that are really professional looking without being too "sophisticated".

trust me, your students will love it :^)

>> No.7450244

I'd suggest a nice vest, without the suit jacket. And obviously you're going to need a classy hat like a fedora, homburg, or bowler. Fingerless gloves or pins with your favorite video game characters on them will stop your fit from being too stuffy and formal, and a bowtie adds a dash of whimsy. For footwear, go a little more casual and get some white New Balance or Asics trainers.

My price limit on say... a jacket would be <$400 , and a pair of jeans <$150 as I'm still part-time / in school.

From what I've seen these /fa/ suggestions are great but just not with the budget I have.

Sorry bud. Just end your life.

>> No.7450413

5'6 bud here. life is hard. manageable sure, but would have a lot more possibilities with a few inch. thinking about doing leg lengthening to push me into normal range.

but to op, just wear things that are simple and fitted. the fit is more important then brands and whatnot. keep things clean and professional and trimmed, even if you're not wearing a suit.

how about you lift some weights. most clothes will not make you look older despite what anyone would say. 5' 8" speaking from experience. lifting is doing the most for me and confidence is much higher.

just don't become a wide as fuck looking try-hard. a more defined jawline never hurt anybody. also consider stubble to complement them gains.

Unless you're in Eastern Europe the average adult height is around 5' 8"-5' 10". This is a fashion board, not an insecurity board.

It's a /fit/ maymay that /fa/ takes seriously because they either believe that you have to be a 6' 2" male model to be fashionable or that Women all want the same thing and don't have differing preferences like men do.

OP are u athletic at all? Same age, height and similar weight (actually a bit heavier and increasing due to lifting) and I have to say women read your CONFIDENCE in your body. If you act like you look like a piece of shit you will LOOK like a piece of shit. Look like you are content with your physique and it will rub off on others. Although I have been playing football (UKfag) for probably 17 years so my body is pretty well proportioned and lean. Are you in a similar position or skinnyfat?

>> No.7450907

>>7450732

Skinny but have a bit of a gut bc of bad eating habits/beer but it's not crazy.

I do swim though. So that makes me lean. Doesn't help with body mass at all.
