From what I can see of your face it doesn't look like it is narrow enough for the stock answer of short sides and back long on the top. If you don't have a prominent jaw, styling it with a part and a longer front might not be a good idea either. I'd say at least start by asking the stylist to trim the backs and sides down and blend up to the top. Not super short, but enough that the top is noticeably longer. That will leave you with enough hair to play around with and feel out what looks good, but not so much that you're approaching an untamed mullet.

I've grown it out before, to just past my shoulders and it was alright but the bang length combined with my thick wavy hair just made me look like a skater.

I have an undercut, and try to slick it back like Jake's in the picture. However, it ALWAYS does these dumb curtains and parts in the centre (blue circle). Even though Jake's has fallen forward, it still holds its shape in the middle without parting (red circle).

I've been doing no-poo for several months and it's been working great.
