Black with brown?

People always call me out when I wear a black top or sweater with brown db's. But to me, it looks acceptable. Pic related, what it looks like, except, not a model.

Black and brown is fine. That "don't wear black with brown" rule is stupid. It's the kind of thing you'd read on AskMen.com. Don't follow it.

Just don't wear really dark colors that aren't quite black with the color black. They will look washed out. This goes for navy and darker browns. The brown in the pic looks fine with black, though.
