Your life and family sound terrible. Kind of like mine, except I make an effort to brighten the mood up a bit.

Im getting my girlfriend a Dr Grip pen and just a night out since we're both broke as hell.
Parents always returns my gift to them so I'm just showing up at their house.

Being with someone when you're both broke is actually a pretty good feel. Respect.

by buying them something theyll never use but you attached a handwritten note indicating you saved the family?

>> No.7404056

>>7404040
No, by buying shit they actually use, and I hand it to them personally. I have terrible handwriting.

And no, I'm not saving the family: we're way beyond that, just sugar-coating it a bit so people outside don't realize what's going on. A job you're clearly failing at.

well tell me what the fuck youre buying them

everyone in my family drinks coffee and tea (obv diff flavors), is there a problem with that - im glad you give christmas gifts physically like everyone else, big steps

Usually a pen for my dad (which he usually displays in his collection, so I suppose he "uses" them), boots for mum (she has pretty shit taste in shoes, so she usually uses stuff I buy her), dog stuff for my aunt (she loves her dogs), Japanese plushies for my grandma, and random jewelry for my distant cousins (the women, I don't buy anything for the men).

They're distant cousins. I see them once a year. And yes, I only give the female ones stuff because they have vaginas, it's a cultural thing.

I do it to my family life when outside observers look at it, not to the gifts. And I'm saying this just to poke fun at how edgy you sound when you talk about being rich and alienated from your family.

Well, I would say there's something wrong with your family, but then I'd have to look at my own.

So I'll just stick to saying that there's something seriously wrong with consumer culture, but then I'd have to look at the board I so often come to.

So I'll just keep my mouth shut, and remember everyone that this small monologue was meaningless.
