Any of you use Gatsby? What's your favourite?

>> No.7361284

I don't understand why everyone here has such a hardon for gatsby. You realize that this shit is made by the MANDOM corporation? The same company that sold cancer-causing cologne in the 70's with tack commercials starring charles bronson?

I have very fine hair. It's straight as fuck, but it's not thick. That's probably why it's not working too well for me.

ive started using imperial pomade a few months back, and love it. i dont think ill switch to anything. maybe paul mitchell, but rather unlikely

17 at the hairdressers. Worth it though, I only use a little bit and it holds pretty well providing you use mousse too. If it's windy I'll just lock it down with hairspray.

I want to love it so bad but my side get all stickly when using it so it looks horrible.

>> No.7366369

I like matt, medium-high hold, long lating hair products.

The best one's I've found are: idHair Dusty Bronze and Tigi B Matte Separation Wax.

Tigi B is good for just got your hair cut short, to about 3 weeks of growth. idHair is great for everything up until about a week before I get it cut, then I use tigi in the back and id in the front.

I've used that powder stuff that a lot of people are selling now, the matte/volumising powder. It's really good if you accidentally put too much product in and want to remove some of the grease, turns your hair really fluffy and almost fake to the touch.

Bedhead is far too shiny and sticky.
American Crew Fibre is entry level, only suits very short hair, wont hold anything too long or thick.
Label.M matt paste is expensive as fuck but is about the mattiest product you can find. Overall it's not got a great hold, but works well for effortless styles to make it look like your hairs got nothing in it.
Pretty much every Fudge product I've tried I've not really liked much. It's better than most high street stuff and smells pretty tasty.
All toni and guy stuff is shat.

Yeah. Make one yourself (coconut oil or conditioner is also an option) and see if you like the results. I've yet to hear of an at-home recipe that works quite as well as the commercial stuff, but it'd be smarter to try a DIY spray at home first before forking over for a salon product that you might not even like.

It has the same effect on hair that sea air does. It makes wavy/curly hair curl up even more and adds a lot of texture. it won't hold a style and has the downside of being quite drying, so I wouldn't recommend using it every day.

You can add 2tbsp sugar to the mix and ruffle your hair as it dries to get volume (almost like a light hairspray) but unless theres already a curl pattern in there, it's not gonna go wavy or whatever, and it's still gonna go a bit frizzy and dry if overapplied.
