I have the opportunity to get a pair of these exact yohji pants but am undecided on how itll translate to the real world. Any of you have any street pics of these being pulled off?

I own that exact pair, it looks sick in motion but standing still it looks like a skirt, so be ready to have everyone give you looks, etc.

Very thin / fragile as well so not very viable for winter, also going up stairs and siting down can sometimes be a hassle because your feet get caught, it drags on the ground, etc.

Not the most versatile piece but definitely great. If you are looking for more versatility (?) then some pants from SS13 (Balloon / Drawstring / Wrap) without pleats would give you a similar silhouette without looking too much like a skirt.

ignoring the anon who's so bored he wants to start a internet argument on what clothes i wear. and much thanks to the anon who owns the piece. any fit pics?(anon 2)

Also keep in mind that the model in your pic is incredibly tall, I am 5'11 and for the pants to hit my legs right above the shoe like in your pic I have to button both sides to the max extent which makes them ride very high up. Tucking in the top at this point would look very disproportionate unless you were like 6'2.

Also make sure they are those exact ones in look 7, Cotton and button at both sides with a hidden zipper in the front middle. There were around 7 different categories of Hakamas released that season, each with one or two iterations.

Also another thing to keep in mind is that they are constructed like traditional Hakama pants are in that they close off at the sides and leave 2 wide openings, showing your underwear. You have to pull up the sides and it's preventable but the bad thing is that the pockets are built in as a thin extra layer so it's difficult to locate and put your hands in them.

Honestly if you're not sure about them I'd pass, in retrospect I should have probably bought a solid Yohji suit for everyday wear for the price I paid for my Hakamas. They are more of a statement piece to add to a solid wardrobe, if you don't have anything else to wear with them then...

dude you rock. i can see why fa slowly became my homebloard over autistic /fit/. simple clean very /fa/.
i got this acne samurai shirt in white(same one that bai owns) i plain to wear it with some linen oxford shirts and so on and i'm 5' 11' too.
have some military boots and black strappy undercover sandals to complement them. I finished winter clothes shopping a while ago and am getting my summer fit game up. i saw a cool pic with white cdg chucks but those are a bit overplayed and im not sure if they even are the same pants.

Where are you getting them from?

Also those were the Gabardine iteration look 37 or whatever iirc, pleats much more prominent and overall silhouette not so billow-y
