I hate hair gel.

No company has the common sense to make fragrance-free product. No sensible white-collar male wants to go to the office smelling like cheap perfume.

Someone recommended pomade instead, so I got some Got2Be pomade. Smells like fucking orange dish soap. Same results after putting on like 2 tablespoons. And I fucking REEK of orange dish soap. My bathroom REEKS of orange dish soap.

Compare it to trying to slick back a long-ish buzzcut, as extreme example. No matter what you put in there, if your hair is that short it'll stay up. The more hair you have, the better it'll stay down.
