Can you shop at goodwill and be /fa/?

>> No.7244918

Yes.

>> No.7244945

Mhm.

>> No.7244965

My goodwill is awful, don't forget to try other more local thrift shops. Try flea markets in your city, too.

>> No.7244974

depends where u live.
a hip urban city? sure

country hick town? no
suburbs? no

/fa/ is about taste, so as long as nobody sees you go in there you're fine.

>Marshalls
>TJ Maxx
>Ross

>> No.7244975

Depends on your tastes.

Good place to find interesting layering pieces on the cheap
Shirt and sweater in pic related are from my local Goodwill
also a nice place to buy books

What brand is that jacket?

>> No.7245053

yeah it's fine, just depends what they actually happen to have in the location you're visiting. some goodwills have better stuff than others, it's really just luck of the draw

>> No.7245059

Yes, but only if you have discriminating taste, willingness to go revisit alot, and patience.

O'neill
like the brand that makes aquatic/boating gear
got it for Christmas upwards of like 6 years ago so you'll probably have trouble finding it

>> No.7245080

>>7244974
you'd be surprised at what you find at suburban goodwills
local thrift stores are a lot cheaper though
flea markets are good for jewelry

>> No.7245078

no, the very act of thrifting is unfa

>> No.7245085

>>7244974
I'm pretty sure this is 100% wrong

I remember reading that when you donate clothes to a Goodwill, they're not necessarily sold at that Goodwill. All the clothes get redistributed to keep all the stores stocked, so you could be in the burbs getting hip urban donations

>> No.7245101

>>7245085
depends where u live and how big the donation centre's city is
for example i live in a city of just under 100k and our donation centre covers one goodwill in my area and one in another

but if u live in a massive city chances are they take trucks everywhere to the one's that ppl don't donate as much to

I've found nothing but crap at the local goodwill here, but the salvation army here is pretty good. I'm a bit surprised that every time I go there's always something good like gant or a lot of trad. stuff that's decent. It's also one of those places that hasn't been taken over by middle school illipinos like savers has.
